2012 Grammy Nominations: Kanye West Tops The List1675194
Adele, Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars tie for six nods each, just falling short of West's seven nominations.

For the second year in a row, a hip-hop artist is leading the pack in Grammy nominations. Although his name was only called for one category during Wednesday's (November 30) "Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!," Kanye West walked away with a leading seven nods, following the hip-hop trend set by last year's leading nominee, Eminem. He's nominated for his Watch the Throne joint album with Jay-Z and also picked up a few nominations — including Song of the Year — for his powerhouse collaborative track "All of the Lights," which features Rihanna, Fergie and Kid Cudi. He's even nominated against himself, with Watch the Throne and his own My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy nabbing Rap Album of the Year nods.
West was followed by this year's critical darling, Adele, who is tied with the Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars for six nods each. Lil Wayne and dance-music breakout Skrillex each garnered five nods. While the Grammys have a reputation for catering to an older demographic (Robert Plant and Alison Krauss for 2009 Album of the Year, anyone?), this year's nominees are notably young, with 34-year-old West looking downright geriatric next to fellow nominees Adele (23), Rihanna (23), Lady Gaga (25) and Bruno Mars (26). Rihanna Gets Fanged Grill For 'You Da One' Video1675584

Rihanna is readying the release of her video for "You Da One," and is teasing fans with what they can expect from the clip for the bouncy Dr. Luke-produced track. In a new video posted by the singer, she's spotted backstage at one of her shows, prepping a look. "I'm getting a grill made for an upcoming video shoot for 'You Da One,' but I only want the bottom done with fangs, and they have to make a mold so they can send it to New Castle, ship it from New Castle, get it made, and then send it back to London for the video," the singer says in a behind-the-scenes featurette shot at London's O2 Arena and posted on Aceshowbiz.com. While little else is known about what will happen in the video or why exactly Rihanna will be sporting fangs, in photos posted on Global Grind, she rocks some funky fashions. Wearing a short blond wig with blunt bangs, Rihanna dons a tight white tank top, denim shorts, bold black tights with the word "Boy" written on them in white and a white bowler hat. The look fits the wardrobe she's been wearing during this album phase, which is very street and punk-inspired. RiRi's once again set to work with Melina Matsoukas, who shot her "We Found Love" video. At the time of its release, Matsoukas told MTV News that she hoped the two would hookup for another Talk That Talk clip. "There's definitely some more music coming out, and I'm sure we'll do some more collaborating. I definitely would love to," she said. "I'm excited that I got to do the first one off her new album, the first single. I've never done that, so that was good. ... I think it sets up definitely the imagery for the album, and it's in line with what they're doing. So that's good, and I'm sure there's plenty more, hopefully. ... She called me after, and she loves it, and I love it." In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Rihanna explained why she wanted to record "You Da One," the second single off Talk That Talk. "This is one of those records, it becomes very addictive," she said. "To me, it's very infectious: The more you listen to it, the more you want to listen to it. Angelina Jolie Hopes 'Blood And Honey' 'Isn't Just A History Lesson'
'It isn't just a political film, it isn't just Bosnia,' director of 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' tells MTV News.

Although Angelina Jolie's directorial debut, "In the Land of Blood and Honey," is a harrowing, unrelenting drama set around the atrocities experienced and committed during the Bosnian War, Jolie swears that her goal in making the film and telling this story is not to teach anything or promote any agenda.
"I hope for the audience watching that it isn't just a history lesson, it isn't just a political film, it isn't just Bosnia," she told MTV News recently. "We tried to tell a dramatic story, we tried to make a good film with great actors, we tried to just give traditional dramatic storytelling, and somehow in that, we also layered all these other things and it's a part of it.
"Even if you're not particularly interested in history, which I can't imagine because it's important, but if [you want to see something] just for filmmaking or just to see performances or just to see a story, an emotional relationship story, that's this film."
Nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film Golden Globe, it highlights the horrors of ethnic conflicts that have occurred far too often throughout history — in this case, the Bosnian War. The story revolves around the relationship between two Bosnians on opposite sides of the conflict, Danijel (Goran Kostic) and Ajla (Zana Marjanovic), and the devastating toll it has on their lives.
Jolie raved about the experience she had during production, calling her crew "a family," which made us wonder if the first-time director is ready to go back and direct another film.
"Oh, I don't know," she said. "I'm still very shy [about that]. I still can't believe I'm even here and we did it."
