Woman charged with break-in at Cowell's house
LONDON (AP) — A woman accused of breaking into Simon Cowell's house wielding a broken brick and then hiding in the entertainment mogul's wardrobe appeared in a London court Monday.
Leanne Zaloumis, 29, was charged with aggravated burglary after the incident on Saturday night.
Prosecutors said Cowell was watching TV in the bedroom of his London mansion when he heard a loud bang coming from his bathroom and discovered Zaloumis inside with a brick.
Cowell's security staff confined the intruder to a bedroom until police arrived and found her in the wardrobe. Police officers drew their weapons as they arrested Zaloumis, and later found blood stains in the bathroom, prosecutor Paul Mitchell said.
The charge, read out in court, alleges that Zaloumis intended to "inflict grievous bodily harm upon a person therein and at the time of committing the said burglary had with you a weapon of offense, namely a broken house brick."
She also is accused of shouting at Cowell and hurling items at his bathroom window while standing on a roof outside.
Cowell, 52, has gained fame in both Britain and North America as producer and an acerbic judge on TV talent shows including The X Factor and America's Got Talent.
Cowell spokesman Max Clifford said Cowell had described the incident as "just like something out of a horror movie."
"He was shaken up," Clifford said. "Strange as it might seem he feels lucky, because it could have been a gun or a knife in her hand."
Zaloumis, who appeared in court with unkempt hair and a baggy gray sweat shirt, spoke only to confirm her name and address during a brief hearing at West London Magistrates' Court.
District Judge James Henderson ordered her detained until her next hearing on June 12.

Thursday concerts pull crowds in St Ann
THE Noranda Bauxite Sports Club in Discovery Bay, St Ann is now the hottest entertainment spot for hundreds of residents in that community.
The sports club has rolled out a concert package that is keeping the audience coming back for more with a mixture of home-grown reggae, DJ, gospel, soul, and dance items from communities around the bauxite plant.
The series — which began last Thursday and will run each Thursday until May 3 — will culminate with a grand final among the top seven performers who will emerge from the 21 entrants. The series enters its fourth week today with cash prizes worth $200,000 to be won.
Nathan Thompson, Noranda’s human resource manager, said the series — now in its second year — has proved to be a success. “The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission has recognised it as a valuable resource for exposing talent from our inner communities,” said Thompson.
“We enjoy the show but we are also impressed with the high-quality performances that are providing such rich entertainment each Thursday.”
The artistes have a huge following from their particular communities and are judged by Mark Brown and Marjorie McIntosh, experienced festival adjucators in St Ann, as well as musicologist Maurice Bryson.
The concerts are managed by the Noranda Community Council and the Noranda Sports Club. The emcee is Seymour Green.

'Carrot' Jarrett goes holistic
FORMER Third World percussionist Irvin 'Carrot' Jarrett is tapping on the healing attributes of music. Now a naturopathic practitioner, Jarrett, along with marketing consultant Julia Vaz, held a Body and Soul Wellness charity fair at Wickie Wackie, Bull Bay, on Sunday.
The proceeds will be donated to the Spanish Town-based 3D Projects for disabled children. The event featured holistic therapy, music, art, and activities.
"It was an incredible event and my way to give back to the society," Jarrett told the Jamaica Observer.
Jarrett, who left the band Third World in the 1980s, has been touching lives as a holistic health provider since the 1990s. He main his main focus is reiki. It uses a technique commonly called palm healing or hands on healing as a form of complementary therapy.
"This thing (reiki) is something that will help us to live a healthier lifestyle," Jarrett said. It involves ancient traditional principles, the power of touch and distance techniques to enhance healing.
This does not mean he has abandoned his musical calling. In fact, he combines music in the healing process.
"In reiki I use music. It's all about energy. It's all about frequency so the music is part of the healing process," the certified third-degree teacher explained. "I also use aroma therapy and oils."
Jarrett was quick to rebuff the perception that reiki is a form of devil worshipping.
"It is because they (detractors) don't understand it. Reiki is the same thing that Jesus Christ used," he said.
Jarrett — who is currently doing his naturopathic doctorate at The Trinity School of Natural Health in Indiana, United States — said his venture into holistic healthcare was as a result of his observation.
"I used to look at the faces of the audiences who used to come to the concerts and enjoyed the music. They walked away feeling good within hearts but in a couple of days that wears off. So I said to myself 'how can I touch them beyond that moment?'," he told the Jamaica Observer.
The former percussionist has since formed CREED Group Entertainment, a production entity designed as an umbrella framework for health and educational projects. CREED is the acronym for Consistent Rhythmic Energy Enticing Dance.
Jarrett was part of the classic line-up of the Third World and played on some of the band's hit songs including 96° in the Shade, Always Around and Now That We Found Love .

Downtown shopping 101
Hello family, friends and fans. Last week a male friend of mine purchased a T-shirt in one of those fabulous uptown designer boutiques and was proudly proclaiming to me that he got it on sale for $5,000.
He left our conversation rather elated as he looked forward to 'bashing' out in this five-grand shirt at an upcoming event drinking and having fun with his cronies. I on the other hand, having been raised by a no-nonsense no-frills lady called Mama Ruds, was still standing in the same spot with my mouth on the floor. Five grand! Five grand for one T-shirt, not a men's dress shirt, but a T-shirt.
That my dear people in a day of shopping downtown for me would have netted a top, a bottom, accessories, a wig and change would be left for the Portmore toll and a box lunch.
Don't get me wrong. His T-shirt was probably of a superior quality, with attention paid to detail etc, but realistically as party people who 'do road' as we say here in Jamaica, how many times do you plan to wear the shirt? I can attest to the fact that I will wear repeat an outfit, but with different wigs and change of accessories it looks like new. How many ways can you transform a shirt on a man? Not many. Social media has also increased the pressure on us 'repeaters', with the coverage of events being splattered all over the Internet so after a maximum of three wears on the party scene, it then becomes 'judging' clothes and eventually finds itself forgotten and discarded probably being used as a car buffer.
To each his own, and uptown store owners have every right to charge what they deem fit, since it is far more expensive to operate their business, shopping in air conditioned comfort with assistance and background music has a price tag.
My advice to people existing on a budget in these trying times is to explore your options. My friend obviously thought nothing of paying that amount for a shirt, but had he come downtown with me, he would have gotten a pair of jeans; three T-shirts and we would be having Chinese for lunch, two meats. The brands may be controversial but they look like the real thing.
Most of the people I hang with at parties are 'uptowners", they have never been introduced to downtown shopping and are often intimidated by the thought of trying. I'm not going to sugar coat it, shopping downtown is an experience, not for the faint of heart.
If you look too naïve, you may be overcharged, harassed, or even robbed. So here are some helpful tips to guide you through my world shopping in a downtown Kingston.
Walk. Drivers are perceived as having money, and step heavily and with purpose. Use your shoulders to bounce others while passing. Don't bathe and wear torn 'yard clothes'; if you can, try to stand close to weed smokers and get the scent on you. Wear an unapproachable scowl — 'ben up yuh face' and chew gum hard...a smile is an invitation. No tweeting or texting whilst walking, be very conscious of your surroundings. Get earphones and conceal that blackberry in your bag or pocket.
Loose the standard English, delve so deep in patios that you will need speech therapy to readjust. Always 'bawl' down the initial price. While walking talk aloud to yourself about bills and your problems . And lastly, make a sidewalk sit down every now and then and ask random people where the courthouse is located to give the impression you have a case. Trust me, follow these guidelines and the only people approaching you will be the police.
After a couple visits you will get seasoned and be able to look snazzy for a lot less. Have a great weekend folks. If you need an escort for your first trial e-mail me elvachatalot@yahoo.com or link up on Twitter @ElvaJamaica. Stay safe, love yourself and love your country.

Alexia lands Chanel campaign
PULSE model Alexia Palmer is to appear in this year's Chanel campaign. Images of the 17-year-old will be mounted all across London as one the faces of fashion's renowned cosmetic lines.
Palmer, who was discovered in Pulse's Caribbean Model Search, was the first Jamaican model to appear in Vogue magazine without being signed to an international label.
"This is a major milestone and a significant breakthrough for Pulse and Alexia and we are delighted that she was selected for this job," said Romae Gordon, agency director.
A past student of Dunoon Technical High School in St Andrew, Palmer was elated on her newest achievement.
"This is incredible. I am so happy for this opportunity. I want to do my best and continue to reach for the stars. I have wanted to be in this place for such a long time and now I am here and I am overwhelmed," she said.
"I believe in myself. I want to succeed and I am determined to make it this business that's why I came to Pulse. And now, I have began to live my dreams," she continued.
Mae Wayne, publisher of SHE magazine which Palmer current graces, had high regards for the model.
"She is a natural with flawless skin and a remarkable bone structure. It was an easy decision to have her as our cover girl for the first issue of 2012," Wayne said.
Palmer won the second place in the coveted Caribbean Model Search in 2010 but had to complete her high school before embarking on an international career.
Having worked with the cast of America's smash hit TV show, Glee for her Teen Vogue shoot and now armed with a Chanel cosmetic campaign, Palmer is looking to elevate her status to greater heights.

Amanda Peet Joins Identity Thief
Amanda Peet has joined the cast of Universal Pictures' Identity Thief , Variety reports. She'll star opposite Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy in the Seth Gordon comedy.
The film features Bateman's character as the victim of an identity theft by McCarthy's character. Originally written for a male character on the criminal end of things, the script was reportedly rewritten specifically for McCarthy. Steve Conrad ( The Weather Man , The Pursuit of Happyness ) wrote the first draft with subsequent rewrites by Craig Mazin ( The Hangover Part II ).
There's no word yet on what role Peet will play, but check back for updates as they become available and as the production begins production next month, taking advantage of the "Mike & Molly" hiatus.

Bonafide is Sold Out
THE Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in St Andrew is a far way from their Las Vegas base, but with showgirls and a nearby casino, there was a taste of ‘Sin City’ at the Bonafide band’s album launch on Wednesday.
Sold Out is the title of their double album on which the band has teamed with big names like Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel, Busy Signal and Etana.
A packed hall built largely of local entertainment personalities saw the band perform some of the songs from the set. Also in the audience was Fiji, the reggae singer from that Pacific country who has recorded and toured with Bonafide for several years.
Drummer Donovan ‘Junior Rootz’ Stephens told Splash that consistent touring in the Pacific Rim, Australia and New Zealand has given Bonafide a solid fan base in that region. He said working with established acts like Junior Gong can only help the quartet gain some footing in Jamaica.
“It’s like a stamp of approval ‘cause’ we sat down together an’ wrote the song. The key thing about all the collaborations was to come up with good music,” Rootz said.
Start and Stop is the name of the Junior Gong track. I Wanna Be The One features Etana, I’m Leaving was done with Kartel while Bumpa is the collaboration with Busy Signal.
Bonafide, whose members are from Mount Salem, St James and Clarendon, has made Las Vegas their home for the last 12 years. Rootz keyboardist Robert Stephens, bassist Wayne Stevens and deejay Kerry ‘Kerry Ranks’ Bell formed the band in the 1990s and cut their teeth on the north coast hotel circuit.
In the past five years, the band has established themselves in the Pacific Islands of Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, one of the most vibrant reggae markets in the world.
“If you come to a Bonafide show in those islands, you’ll see sometimes 5,000 people an’ they’re singing our songs,” said Rootz. “They accept us as their own.”
The Bonafide band is scheduled to kick off a promotional tour for Sold Out in May. They will play the Pacific Islands before moving on to the United States for shows in San Diego and Seattle.

JAVAA scores big with Ja 50 Salute
THE Jamaica Association of Vintage Artistes and Affiliates (JAVAA) concert at the Red Bones Blues Café in New Kingston on Friday night was a celebration of Jamaica's 50th anniversary of Independence.
It was real top-class entertainment of reggae’s timeless numbers.
The Unique Vision Band backed all the acts through the various genres that have featured over the past 50 years. With band vocalist Andrew Cassanova kicking things off with Left With A Broken Heart and Travelling Man before passing the baton to Andrew Francis, the stage was sit for a night of vintage music.
Francis sang the Spinners’ 40- year-old hit Could It Be I’m Falling In Love, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap’s Young Girl (stay out of my mind), and Al Wilson’s Show and Tell to a receptive audience.
Apart from her opening number, Adele’s Someone Like You, Charmaine Limonius’ stint was mainly a musical suite of Jamaican festival songs. Accompanied by her guitar, it was now Baba Boom Time (The Jamaicans’ Festival Song of 1967), Desmond Dekker and Aces’ Unity, and Eric Donaldson’s Land of My Birth.
Veteran balladeer Keith Lyn could do no wrong.
Starting with his perennial Empty Chairs, the former lead vocalist for Byron Lee’s Dragonaires, was not “all alone” as patrons sang along with him. Like Empty Chairs, no performance of Keith Lyn can be completed without Jamaica Ska. Demonstrating his agility, he also worked up storm as he took his leave with another ska number I Don’t Love Anymore (Bye Bye Baby I’m Gone).
Dwight Pinkney, veteran guitarist/singer/songwriter, who best known for his hit on vocals Nengy Nengy, with which closed his set, was his usual smooth self. He did justice on the fretboard in salute of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ Nice Time, Jammin, No Woman No Cry as well as his originals How Could I Live (instrumental version) made popular by Dennis Brown and Dwightlight Zone which is a take off from the old standard Twilight Zone.
The night’s other female performer Keisha Patterson was a hit with Etta James’ At Last, I Rather Be Alone but her delivery of What About Me, answered the question. It revealed her musical finesse. Baggadito brought the show to a close on a high note, performing vintage numbers like Book of Rules, My Love Call, Wide Awake in a Dream and Behold.

Who is Marvel Studios Eyeing to Direct Captain America 2 ?
While Captain America: The First Avenger was directed by Joe Johnston and received positive reviews, Vulture is reporting that Marvel Studios is going with a new director(s) for the sequel:
They say: "Vulture hears that the search is narrowing for someone to helm the patriotic hero's own personal sequel. Insiders tell us that a field of ten directors has been whittled to just three for the follow-up to last summer's hit: George Nolfi, the writer-director of The Adjustment Bureau; F. Gary Gray, best known for directing The Italian Job; and, naturally Community's Anthony and Joseph Russo?"
The site adds that Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige hit it off with the Russos, who have also directed You, Me and Dupree and Welcome to Collinwood .

Courtney Robb to be honoured in New York
COURTNEY Robb, who played in Byron Lee's Dragonaires band for many years, will be honoured for his contribution to Jamaican music on May 17 in New York City.
The award will be presented by New York state assemblyman Eric A Stevenson at the Night of Elegance gala, which honours several Jamaican stalwarts, including legendary folklorist Louise 'Miss Lou' Bennett Coverley.
Jamaica-born hip-hop star Dwight 'Heavy D' Myers, who died late last year, will also be recognised at the event.
Robb, whose movement is restricted because of a recent kidney transplant, is based in Florida where the born-again Christian plays in his church band.
Stevenson is a nephew of Miss Lou and grandson of Edward Stevenson Sr, the first Jamaican elected to the New York state assembly. He represents the 79th District of the Bronx.
Among the other recipients at the Night of Elegance will be Dr Julius W Garvey, son of Pan-African giant Marcus Garvey, actor Danny Glover, Bishop Eulalee
Stevenson-Chang, Monica Sanchez, founder of the Ms CARICOM beauty pageant, and talk show host Avril Francis.
In June last year, influential Jamaican saxophonist/flautist Cedric 'Im' Brooks was recognised by Stevenson. He is being Honoured this year with an Outstanding Career Serving Humanity Award.
The 69-year-old Brooks, who is critically ill, is a former member of the Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, the Light of Saba and the Skatalites.

Schwarzenegger and Devito Plan Twins Sequel, Triplets
Universal Pictures is planning a sequel to the 1988 comedy, Twins and the plan is to re-team the original's stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito, with an unlikely third on-screen brother: Eddie Murphy.

Millie Small leads revolution
In August, it will be 50 years since Jamaica gained Independence from Britain. Today, the Jamaica Observer’s Entertainment section reflects on the influence Jamaican pop culture has had on that country in REGGAE BRITANNIA, a weekly feature leading up to the Golden Jubilee in August.
WHEN Millie Small’s ska ditty My Boy Lollipop topped the British national chart in 1964, it marked the dawn of a new era for Jamaican music, and the Jamaican community in England.
For, five years earlier, when 17 year-old Junior Lincoln moved to north London — Tottenham — there was little to listen in terms of Jamaican music.
“Back in those days Jamaicans would keep parties in basements and family and friends would come from places like Birmingham and Manchester,” the west Kingston-born Lincoln recalled during an interview with the Observer.
The sound system culture many Jamaican immigrants had become accustomed to back home had not yet taken off in Britain, so the early ‘promoters’ used gramophones to play their records.
“They couldn’t get music from Jamaica so we listened to mostly rock & roll and rhythm & blues which came from America,” Lincoln said.
In terms of Jamaican performers, the most popular among Jamaicans in Britain in the early 1960s were the R&B-influenced Jiving Juniors, Laurel Aitken, Wilfred ‘Jackie’ Edwards and Owen Gray.
By 1963 however, ska had taken over Jamaica and the jazz-influenced sound slowly filtered onto the British scene. According to Lincoln, the main distributors of ska records at that time were two Britons: Emil Shalit, a Jewish businessman and a Mrs King, both based in London.
“Music was the most important thing for West Indians in England back then.
When a man got his pay package he went to the record store,” Lincoln explained. As music from Jamaica got more accessible, the sound systems emerged throughout London. Suckle, Duke Vin and Shelly, whose owners were from west Kingston, were some of the earliest ‘sounds’ in the British capital, followed shortly after by Sir Coxson.
Even though My Boy Lollipop was a revelation, the biggest shot in the arm for Jamaican music in Britain came in 1968 with the establishment of Trojan Records, formed by Lee Gopthal, a Jamaican of East Indian descent.
Trojan became the largest distributor of rocksteady, and later reggae music, in Britain. Its biggest Jamaican clients were producers Clement ‘Coxson’ Dodd, Arthur ‘Duke’ Reid, Leslie Kong and Prince Buster.
For nearly a decade, Trojan had a hand in the distribution of the biggest Jamaican hits in Britain, including Bob and Marcia’s Young, Gifted and Black and Ken Boothe’s Everything I Own.
Lincoln, who briefly worked with Trojan, operated the Bamboo, Ackee and Banana labels which distributed Dodd’s Studio One releases. Another of his labels, Ashanti, released albums like the Mystic Revelation of Rastafari’s Grounation.
Junior Lincoln, who produced the hour-long documentary Reggae in 1970, returned to Jamaica permanently in 1982. Now 70 years old, he is a director of the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association.

Former Batman Cast Member Reprises Role in The Dark Knight Rises
We mentioned earlier this year that Liam Neeson, who played Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins , had filmed a scene for The Dark Knight Rises , but there were still many doubts.
Now, with Wrath of the Titans coming out this Friday, Warner Bros. Pictures themselves have confirmed that he'll be seen again in Christopher Nolan's final Batman movie. The production notes for that movie say: "Neeson next appears in Peter Berg's actioner "Battleship," and he also will be seen in Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated action thriller "The Dark Knight Rises." We have included Neeson's full bio from the production notes below so you can see for yourself.

Tony Roy is on the Waiting List
LATE last year when lovers rock singer Tony Roy released his debut album, he was not only looking to make an impression on the United States east coast where he lives, but in Jamaica where he left in 1997.
After a slow start, Tony Roy says the self-produced Waiting List has been making the rounds in his adopted home of Baltimore, Maryland, and other major American locations where there is a strong Jamaican presence.
"Things definitely picking up even though airplay is still difficult, but wi getting more play in places like New York, Atlanta and south Florida," Tony Roy said in an interview with Splash.
Tony Roy, whose real name is Fitzroy Gordon, has been a regular on the Baltimore/Washington DC reggae club scene for over a decade. In December, he visited Jamaica to promote the album, performing in Montego Bay and St Elizabeth.
"The reaction was good, wi all know it's important to get a vibe in Jamaica," he said.
Waiting List is distributed in the US by Mudies Records out of New York City and in England by London's Stringbean International Records. Its main tracks are Jus' Gwaan and the patriotic Yard Mi Born.
The St Thomas-born Tony Roy says he first recorded Jus' Gwaan in 1985, shortly after leaving Seaforth High School. Most of his early music career, however, was as a drummer with the Chosen People band in his home parish.
After immigrating to Baltimore 15 years ago, he maintained his ties to music, playing drums in the Rising Sun and Covenant bands. The last eight years has seen him move out front as a vocalist.
Yard Mi Born is inspired by Tony Roy's years playing the club circuit in Baltimore and the US capitol where he performs at reggae venues like JoJo's, the Bukom Café and Cross Roads.
Many of his dates take place at the Bukom but Tony Roy hopes with the release of Waiting List, his popularity will transcend the Baltimore/DC region.
The album is expected to be released in Jamaica by May.

Akira Movie Was Going to Make Tetsuo and Kaneda Brothers
Actor Toby Kebbell - of this week's release Wrath of the Titans - spoke openly and honestly with IFC (via ShockTillYouDrop.com ) about Akira , the live-action adaptation of Katsuhiro Otomo's animated film that he was rumored to be circling.
Last fall, rumors stated he was in the running to play Tetsuo against Garrett ( TRON: Legacy ) Hedlund's Kaneda. Kebbell confirms these rumors were true, although - as a fan of the manga and original movie - he wasn't thrilled with some of the creative choices of the live-action script.
He told IFC :

Hunger Games rakes in $155m
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) — The Hunger Games has filled fan appetites with a $155 million opening weekend that puts it near the top of the domestic record book.
The huge haul marks the third-best debut ever in terms of revenue, behind the $169.2 million opening for last year's Harry Potter finale and the $158.4 million opening of 2008's The Dark Knight.
While it's already a blockbuster on its North American home turf, The Hunger Games had a much slower start overseas. The film took in a modest $59.3 million in 67 markets, including Great Britain, Germany, France, Russia and Australia.
Still, the film amassed a worldwide total of $214.3 million in just a few days.
In the US it also was by far the biggest start for a film opening outside the busy summer and holiday seasons. According to Sunday studio estimates, The Hunger Games came in nearly $40 million ahead of the previous March record-holder, 2010's Alice in Wonderland at $116.1 million.
The Hunger Games slid into the number three spot on the domestic revenue chart ahead of Spider-Man 3, which opened with $151.1 million in 2007. Factoring in today's higher tickets prices, The Hunger Games sold fewer tickets over opening weekend than Spider-Man 3, though.
Fans camped out for the first screenings of The Hunger Games which began just after midnight Friday.
Though it features a female lead, The Hunger Games drew more balanced crowds, with girls and women accounting for 61 per cent of audiences, according to distributor Lionsgate.
Despite its teen fan base, it also did well among older movie-goers. Fans 25 and older made up 56 per cent of the crowds.
The Hunger Games stars Jennifer Lawrence as a teen who is one of 24 youths forced to compete in a televised death match in a post-apocalyptic North American society.
The film is based on the first novel in the best-selling trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Lionsgate plans to release part two, Catching Fire, in November 2013, and hopes to do the finale, Mockingjay, as a two-part film instalment.

'Drummie' Isaacs marches to own beat
ON April 20, the Reggae Film Festival will present the documentary, Studio One Drummie and the History of Rocksteady Music. One of its stars is drummer Joe 'Drummie' Isaacs of the Soul Vendors band.
In it, Isaacs, who played on many classic songs at Studio One during the 1960s, speaks of his days working with legendary musicians including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer of the Wailers, keyboardist Jackie Mittoo, Alton Ellis, Ken Boothe, Toots and the Maytals, the Heptones, Marcia Griffiths, Burning Spear and American singer Johnny Nash.
Studio One Drummie also sees Isaacs exploring cultures of the Nyabinghi Rastafarians and the Maroons.
Recently, the 63-year-old spoke to Splash about his time at Studio One, from his home in Florida.
"It was all about love, everything was done in love," he said. "No one knew where it (music) was gonna end, but it was a happy feeling to go there (studio) every day to create rhythms."
Isaacs, who hails from Bog Walk in St Catherine, was never formally trained as a drummer. He says he left school at age 15 and went straight into music.
"I had a calling to play drums and was never really academically inclined in school. Many are called but few chosen; I feel I was chosen for this mission," he said.
At Studio One, he played on many hits including I've Got To Go Back Home by Bob Andy and Fatty Fatty by the Heptones.
Isaacs is disappointed with the lack of recognition for him and many of his contemporaries in Jamaica.
"That is the greatest disappointment in my life," he said.
He is also not happy with the state of contemporary Jamaican music.
"The music that is going on today basically is not really good," he said. "The rhythms are good, but the vocals that are put on these rhythms is not all that good — disrespecting ladies, dealing with badness, slackness and murdering," he added. "We are using the most powerful weapon in the world to describe these different things."
He believes a change to more quality content can have a positive impact on Jamaican society.
"I would really say that the music has a lot to do with the violence and everything going on in the whole world," Isaacs said. Educate the youths on how important the music is. When you have good content, that's when you will see change."

The Olympic Gardens-bred, New York City-reared rapper has been in Jamaica for the past year working on his first album. Face Dada says the local dancehall scene needs some variety and he believes he can provide it.
"Jamaica is the only place without a rap movement and I want to help change that by being Jamaica's rapper," he said.
Face Dada says he has completed seven tracks for The Beginning And The End, his debut album. He is working with producer Andre 'Dre Day' Ennis who has worked with acts like Aidonia and Khago.
Aware of the importance of scoring a hit song in Jamaica, Face Dada has stepped up his studio activity in recent months. Those sessions produced the song Ghetto which was produced by Ennis.
In December, he appeared at Sting, the Boxing Day show that has become an acid test for dancehall's elite and debutants.
"For a rapper coming out of Jamaica, that was something else. It was groundbreaking," said Face Dada.
Born Jermaine Brown, Face Dada immigrated to New York City at age eight. His family's Bob Marley and Jacob Miller collection kept him in touch with
his Jamaican roots but his biggest musical influences are trailblazing rappers Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J and Big Daddy Kane.
Later, he was drawn to the sounds of Tupac Shakur, arguably hip hop's most talented and controversial performer.
While he is unknown locally, Face Dada has tasted success in the United States. Knock Down The Walls, his 2008 collaboration with rock and roll
singer Chubby Checker (of The Twist fame) settled at number 29 on Billboard magazine's Dance chart.
The link with Checker gave him a regional profile in the US. Face Dada is hopeful he can make similar inroads in the tough Jamaican market.
